Hi!  This is Jerosha at your service.  I will be your designer under Uppsala Hobby Konst (UHK).  Being a fine arts graduate major in advertising plus having the privilege to work in advertising agencies for a decade, I enjoy making posters or designing textiles or packaging from time to time or simply play with colors.  

It wasn't until a year ago that I discovered "safe" scrapbooking.   I had always enjoyed crafts and loved photographs so scrapbooking seemed like the perfect hobby for me. Since that time, I have been working to save my old photos using acid free products so that generations to come will be able to look back and know more about me and my family.  You see, both of my parents died years ago sad to say there aren’t too many pictures of me as a child and even less so are the written memories. We have few  pictures but I hardly remember anything about it.  So, to stop the vicious cycle of memories forgotten and stories untold, I have vowed to my family that I will be the one to take on the task of documenting our lifetime and all the joys and trials it may bring. I am the official family memory documenter!

Photography is the best way to capture every moment in our lives and so photographs are my main inspiration.  I can stare at a great picture for a long time!  That's why I love to have them displayed beautifully.  I like to tell stories about pictures.  That's where the journaling on my pages comes in.  I am so very passionate about journaling, I believe that the story is the heart of the layout and without it, a page just isn’t complete. I want to be sure to capture every feeling and every emotion whether joyous or sad. I want my family to be able to look back on the years and read through the stories that have made us who we are today, and also to have an appreciation for life and how we’ve lived it. I love to work with patterned papers and embellishments to make each page eye-catching and unique.

I really enjoy every aspect of scrapbooking.   It’s one of those things where no matter how you do it, or how long you’ve been doing it, it never gets tiring or boring. I create art with precious moments caught within a photograph. I can tell a story behind each face, and give an unspoken memory its voice. And, the look on each faces as they flip through their scrapbooks will forever give me joy and light up my heart. My emotions run deep within this invaluable hobby as it gives me so much in return and gives me a way to express myself creatively.
