What is the basic process of UHK service?
The first step is to have a basic consultation free of charge and discuss what type of album or gift you would like to have made.

The next step is should you wish to continue with the project, an initial consultation will follow.  There is a small fee for this service, but it's given back to you as a credit on your album price. After the initial consultation, materials will be purchased necessary to complete your album or gift, and keep you informed of its progress thoughout its creation. When complete, you will receive an e-mail or print out a proof sheet for you to review. This will be the time to make any minor changes. If changes become major, there may be an additional fee added. Once you have approved any changes that are made, or if there are no changes, then the album or gift will be sent.

How long will it take to finish my album or gift?
An album consisting of 20 pages can normally be completed within one month's time. From the time UHK received your approval of the preliminary plans for your first page, to the scanning of your last completed page for you to view. UHK will make every attempt to complete a project if you need it by a certain date. There will be an additional fee for albums needed in a shorter time frame. However, you have  to allow 4 -6 weeks for a larger album. Smaller albums and gift orders, please allow 2 weeks. This does not include shipping time. Rush orders are possible, however there will be an added fee for this service, because it will need to put aside other projects in order to complete your album in the time given.

What about journaling? 

Journaling is what makes a photo album a scrapbook. Handwriting, no matter how awful you think, is a tremendous asset to the scrapbook. That said, designers rely heavily on computer fonts for journaling on layouts.

You will receive an e-mail of plans for each page. With each page UHK give you the opportunity to send an e-mail any journaling you wish to have included. At your request UHK can also provide an empty space in which you can hand write your own journaling once you receive the album. Your designer will add word art, quotes or poetry that we feel lends itself to the page, however we will NOT journal for you.

I have started a scrapbook but have not had the time to finish it. Do you also complete albums for people?

Certainly. To determine your cost, UHK would look into your unfinished scrapbook.  There may also be a supply charge, but the amount will depend on how much is needed to be completed. Your deposit would be 50% of that figure.

If you have a going theme you have created in your scrapbook (i.e., a color theme) UHK would gladly attempt to continue with what you were going for if at all possible.

How will I get my album or gift?
Outside Uppsala, your album will be packaged with the utmost care so that it will be protected from the delivery process and the weather either by mail or personal delivery.  

Within Uppsala, either UHK will personally deliver your album or you may pick it at some point area which can be discussed between UHk and the client.

What if I want a gift made for someone, but I don't see an example of it on your website?
Contact UHK. Chances are, UHK will be able to make it for you. But UHK don't know you need it until you say it.
